The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has issued the draft National Guidelines for Stem Cell Research, 2017 for comments.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) through joint effort first framed the Guidelines for Stem Cell Research and Therapy in 2007. The National Apex Committee for Stem Cell Research (NAC-SCRT) and drafting committee decided to update these guidelines from time to time based on new knowledge generated in the field. Hence these were further revised in 2013 as National Guidelines for Stem Cell Research (NGSCR). This document has been revised incorporating recent advances.
The Draft National Guidelines for Stem Cell Research,2017 which is uploaded in the ICMR website.Interested stakeholders(public) can send in their comments/suggestions in following format before 31st July 2017 to the undersigned through email/post:
