  1. 1. There shouldn’t be any kind of screening, since gender is a matter of self identification, and the state can not be given the power to determine or “screen” individualism, especially in a democracy, where rights like right to freedom of expression exists.

    2. No trans person should be forced to stay with their birth family, they should be in control and have the autonomy of decisions when it comes to residence.

    3. Anti Discrimination laws especially for house rentals should be there.

    4. Gender marker of preference should be given irrespective of what medical treatments the individual would have gone though.

    5. All the state and central government offices should be accommodating trans identities since the act comes in function.

    6. Every public space and educational institutions should have at least one transgender/ gender neutral bathrooms.

  3. Ensure reservation for transgender students in all educational institutions under the Central Government. Ensure financial support for transgender students to continue their studies at the Central level while being economically and socially disadvantaged. Should create Transgender reservations in central Government appointments, including in the civil service. The central health ministry should be concentrated on the Health of Transgender people. Should implement Free hormone theorappy and Sex reassignment surgery in public hospitals in all states of India. All academic curriculum must be considered LGBTIQ community.

  4. Follow NALSA. Requiring surgical or clinical intervention to anyone’s mental or physical state to prove their identity is illegal and inhumane.

    1) Identity is a social construct so follow NALSA it’s better.
    2) Education to children’s on orientation and gender identity is a must at all levels and all places.
    3) Equality and equity for transgenders in restrooms, armed services, medical treatment.
    4) Proper and accessible medical care with necessary medicines is needed.

    Requiring us to visit a District Magistrate and follow the procedures is tedious and do all cispeople get their genders, names this way ?
